The underlying philosophy behind everything we do in instructor training at Career Fitness relates to “Points of Difference”, i.e. what are you going to include in your client’s workout that is different from their normal gym routine? One of the training methods most loved by Personal Training clients that meets this criteria is boxing activities.
The ability that is required by someone to box at any level presents a challenge not only to their fitness, but also for their mind. Boxing training sessions stimulate all muscle groups and provide the perfect combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. This training is great for both men and women of all ages. Join former world ranked boxer Mick O’Malley as he shows you how to safely deliver a large range of Intermediate boxing drills and skills which will make the client feel like they have had a great workout and importantly something different from their typical gym session.
 
Through demonstration and supervised practice this workshop teaches you a series of techniques which will enable you to deliver safe and effective boxing drills that Fitness Instructors can incorporate to enhance the enjoyment, variety and results your clients gain from their sessions.

About your course presenter – Mick O’Malley
Mick was a professional boxer who was at one time ranked number three (3) in the world in his weight division. Mick shows the same dedication and enthusiasm he displayed in his boxing career, to help others achieve their goals in the Fitness Industry.
 
Mick is the boxing coach for the Geelong Football Club and takes camps for the corporate and general public alike. He deals in a variety of areas such as general fitness, weight loss, rehabilitation, and sport specific programs for a variety of ages from teenagers and the elderly.
 
Mick has his own very successful Personal Training Studio in Geelong - O’Malley Fitness. He also runs the O'Malley Fit Camp which occurs various times through the year, as well as taking his Kokoda experience trips for groups of up to 20 people several times per year.
